Tigger has a huge vocabulary for a pooch and understands a good deal of what his mama is saying to him.  This is probably because his mama doesn't realize that he's not a real boy and talks to him like he's one.

Although Tigger is playful and bouncy, he also likes quiet time and and is content to sit in his mama's lap for hours.  In fact, he pouts when he doesn't get "mama and baby lap time" each night.

Tigger loves kids, and he never misses an opportunity to go up to a kid to give him or her kisses.  Actually, he doesn't miss an opportunity to give kisses to anyone who'll let him.  You could say he's extremely kissy and affectionate!

Tigger brings a lot of joy and laughter to our household.  His papa daddy, who wasn't too keen on having a dog at first, is now so enamored by his intelligence, sweet spirit, and clownish antics that he's thinking about getting a second Jack Russell in the future.

I was lucky.  I picked and raised a calm Jack Russell terrier (which some Jack Russell owners will tell you is an oxymoron).  I know of people whose Jacks are super hyperactive and bouncing off the walls.  So, if you think Tigger sounds cool, and you'd like to learn more about Jack Russell terriers, click on this link:

Tigger, like his namesake Tigger of the Hundred Acre Woods, is always happy, bouncy and ready to play.  He loves squeaky toys and will play fetch and tug with his mama for as long as she's willing.  He also loves to romp in the park adjacent to his home and chase groundhogs, bunnies, and "mouses" (his word for mice).  He once jumped on an unaware groundhog and rolled the groundhog!

Tigger has a sweet tooth and loves cake, cookies, pastries, and baklava (yes, the greek dessert!)  He also loves Progresso soups, especially chickarina flavor.  His mama usually drinks the broth, and leaves ALL the goodies on the bottom for him.  His papa daddy thinks that mama spoils him too much and calls her a softie.

Tigger is a 2 1/2-year-old Jack Russell terrier who lives with his mama and papa daddy in Happy Valley (home of the Penn State Nittany Lions), Pennsylvania.
Meet Tigger!  Tigger's goal is for every dog to find a wonderful home and have a great life.
